Dunchideock Village Hall
The Village Hall Annual General Meeting
was held at 7pm on Thursday 25th May. The minutes of the meeting can be seen here. Following the Ordinary General Meeting held immediately after the AGM, we're really please to announce that two new members of the Committee have been voted on. Terry Grinsted and Karen Robson have volunteered to join the Committee and will help to bring new ideas, time and a fresh pair of hand to wash up..! Thank you Terry and Karen - we look forward to the next year with you both on board.
Refurbishment of the Toilet Block
Dunchideock Village Hall toilet block has been completely refurbished. These works will now provide toilet facilities that are suitable for the 21st century.
They were funded by Viridor Credits Environmental Company together with contributions from local councillors, Cllrs Connett, Lake and Goodey. The Village Hall Committee would also like to thank villagers who wrote letters of support to Viridor - your support has played a very important part in securing these funds!
The Village Hall used to be the School prior to its closure in 1960 when it was then registered as a charity village hall.
The hall has been greatly improved in recent years to comply with all the current disabled access standards and health & Safety requirements. It is run by the Village Hall Committee who are responsible for it's upkeep and maintenance and who organise a range of events throughout the year. The Village Hall Committee is a registered charity number 301096.
Events in the Village Hall
Various groups, such as the Parish Council, Whist Club, etc., use it on a regular basis. Visit their pages on this website to find out more about these groups and when they meet.
The Village Hall Committee also organises various events throughout the year for the benefit of the village community. During the past year, events have included quizzes, an Indian Supper Evening, a Mexican Supper Evening, Vinyl Night, a Fish & Chip Supper with Quiz evening, the summer produce show, monthly Saturday tea afternoons and more. Visit the Events page to see what's happening in the near future and if there is a type of event that you'd wish to see happen, please do let us know..

Fundraising for the Village Hall
The Village Hall Committee is a charity and, as such, holds events to raise funds for the upkeep of the Hall. Ongoing maintenance and expenses are, unfortunately, always rising in cost and every penny we raise goes towards looking after the Hall for the present use and for future generations. Please do support us by coming to as many events as you can - please do bring friends and family, the more the merrier !
