Councillors Resign27/1/2021 The cumulative impact of pressures on the Council, together with a combination of health, personal and family reasons, and the recent resignation of our Clerk, means that it is no longer practical or sustainable for existing councillors to continue. Regretfully, therefore, all six existing councillors have tendered their resignations.
As the current Clerk’s last day of work has now passed, the Parish Clerk email address will not be monitored until a new appointment is made For the time-being at least, this website will be maintained by a volunteer, purely as a source of information for the community. All six councillors thank you for your support. Cllr Ellis has been on the Council for over 20 years and while other councillors are more recent all agree that it has been a huge privilege to attempt to serve our community. One of the existing Council’s last required acts was to approve a budget for 2021/22 which showed a 21% reduction in the precept, or Parish Council element, of our Council Tax. Our sincere hope, in the light of our village community’s many strengths, is that whatever follows will provide the opportunity for a fresh start which can build on these strengths in a positive and constructive way to the benefit of us all.

Many thanks to all of the Parish Councillors, both past and present as no doubt at times it has felt like a thankless task? I am sure however that the real sense of community spirit that Michelle and I have enjoyed since living here will continue. I am certain that once the current risks that the pandemic poses has reduced that we will once again be able to spend more time together, enjoying each others company.
